2016 Disability Mentoring Days
October 17th through October 31, 2016
The District of Columbia Developmental Disabilities Council (DDC) and the Office of Disability Rights (ODR) cordially invite job seekers, college, and high school students with disabilities to participate in the 2016 Disability Mentoring Days (DMD) program with the District of Columbia Government. Disability Mentoring Days enable job-seekers and students with disabilities to visit a Federal/District Government agency or DC metropolitan business that matches their interests for one-on-one time with volunteer mentors. It provides an opportunity to underscore the connection between school and work, evaluate personal goals, learn about career opportunities in the District, and develop mentoring relationships with government and business leaders. Here is a student mentee application packet. In order to make the appropriate arrangements for this opportunity, a Disability Mentoring Day Student Mentee. Application needs to be completed and submitted by Wednesday, October 5, 2016.
