Biology

CUA Biology Department Home Page

Biology is the study of how living things work, interact and evolve. Today, biology majors focus towards an increased understanding about the natural world and how to address issues regarding worldwide concerns.

CUA’s Department of Biology introduces students to both classical and contemporary areas of science. Because Biology is such a vast science, with a variety of sub-sciences, such as microbiology, botany and zoology, it offers inherent flexibility to the students. Work environments are also varied: museums, schools, government agencies, research laboratories, botanical gardens, zoos, aquariums, companies and hospitals are a few of the places where biology majors at CUA can thrive.
