Civil Engineering involves planning, designing, developing, building, managing and operating the physical elements of the human habitat. Today's civil engineers must analyze the effects of deterioration on infrastructure elements, consider system be equipped with in-depth knowledge of traditional, fundamental principles and new technologies in order to handle and address the complex problems faced within society.

 

CUA's Department of Civil Engineering is comprised of students and faculty who are committed to work together to build a sustainable future through the development of our civil infrastructure and the betterment of our global environment. The discipline has primary areas of concentration that include transportation, geotechnical, environmental, structural engineering, and construction engineering and management.
