Chemistry is the scientific study of matter, its properties and interactions with other matter and with energy. It is a basic science that continues to make important contributions to technology and social progress.

CUA's Chemistry Department offers the professional program which is aimed to prepare students for either graduate study or employment as practicing chemists, offers a Bachelor of Science degree. Students can also choose other B.A/B.S. programs such as Biochemistry, Secondary School Chemistry teaching, Chemical Physics and Environmental Chemistry.
