The Media Studies major explores the various forms of media and their impact on society. Our environment is saturated with all forms of media, including radio, television, newspapers, film and electronic media. It shapes our culture and changes our world.
Students in CUA’s Media Studies major learn the history of media and examine the interactions between various media forms and culture to better understand the present. The program helps develop research, writing, and critical thinking skills through critiquing and creating cultural texts.
