CUA School of Music Home Page
Music majors, through coursework and hands-on experience, learn the skills, concepts, and methodologies necessary to develop proficiency in the designated area of concentration that is typically found in the professional music industry. The Music major is designed not only to prepare the student for graduate work in music scholarship, performance, or composition, but also to offer a solid foundation in one of the most ancient and universal of the liberal arts.
At CUA, a Bachelor of Music degree emphasizes academic and creative development. CUA music majors have the opportunity to study and specialize in composition, music education, musical theatre or performance (orchestral instruments, organ, piano or voice).
