Graduate and Professional School Fair

What is it?

The Graduate and Professional School Fair (GPSF) is an annual two-day event sponsored by D.C.-area consortium universities. Typically the program takes place in late September or early October. One day is dedicated to law schools, the other to graduate programs. Representatives of more than 200 graduate schools and 120 law schools from throughout the U.S. are available to answer your questions and provide literature about their programs, admissions procedures, financial aid, and other related topics.

Also in attendance are a number of test preparation businesses with information about their services.

When and where does it take place?

This year's program will take place Monday, September 26, 2005 (graduate schools day) and Tuesday, September 27, 2005 (law schools day), 3 pm - 7:30 pm both days.  On Monday, September 26th there will be a panel discussion on Applying to and Financing Graduate School from 4:30-5:45 pm and one on Graduate School Opportunities Abroad from 6-6:30 pm.  On Tuesday, September 27th, there will be a panel discussion on Applying to and Financing Law School from 4:30-5:45pm.  The Fair will be held at the George Washington University Smith Center, 22nd and G Streets, NW.

Who can attend? Is there a fee?

The program is free to anyone who wishes to attend. This includes current students and alumni from DC area institutions, along with the general public.
