Wednesday, August 27, 2008 - Campus Employment Fair - 10am - 2pm
Pryzbyla Center Great Room, 3rd Floor

Representatives from many campus offices will be on hand to describe the jobs (work-study and non-work study) they are available and to hire those students who are interested. Work-study students can take this opportunity to get all their paperwork processed including authorization forms, I-9 form and W-4 form.

Meet with representatives from major engineering, construction and biomedical firms who are offering full/part-time jobs and internships.

Friday, July 11, 2008- LULAC Federal Training Institute Washington, DC Youth and Collegiate Federal Career Forum and Recruitment workshops - 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - The Hilton Washington Hotel
This is a free day long fun packed event to showcase the opportunities available to middle, high school , and college and university students in Federal Public Service. Event is being held at the Hilton Washington Hotel, 1919 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20009. Open to all college students and graduates of any school. Over 200 employers with full-time jobs and internships. Friday, May 16, 2008 - Documentary Workshop- The Leadership Institute 1101 N. Highland St.,
Arlington, VA 22201

Learn how to craft, produce, and distribute professional documentaries at the Leadership Institute’s new Documentary Workshop. Industry experts from around the country come to teach at this one-day workshop, held at LI’s Arlington, VA headquarters. These experts will teach you:l How to budget and fund your documentary; Copyright issues and media law; lStorytelling and message crafting;  Technical aspects of good production; Promotion, publicity, and distribution. The First 20 students to register will receive FREE passes to the GI Film Festival’s 100 Greatest War Films of All-time panel discussion, as well as tickets to the screenings of Gods and Generals, American Valor, The Last 600 Meters, and The World Without US which will be held at the Carnegie Institution of Washington. Tuition for the documentary Workshop is $75. Register online and pay only $60 for tuition. The workshop begins at 8:30 am and concludes at 5:30 pm. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and lodging (space limited) is included.
